Over the course of the last few weeks, I have been having more and more cool conversations with men and women about business, profit and loss, revenue, business planning and sales. One of the things that has struck me is that it seems women in particular are struggling to talk about money. I don’t mean in the general sense (ie. how much for those shoes), I mean, when a woman is in a sales meeting and someone asks her point blank how much her service is, well, it’s goes deathly quiet. I am trying to decide if it is because we lovely ladies have been brought up to not talk about money, or, if we don’t talk about money so that we can’t be rejected based on price or if we are just so uncomfortable with the thought that we run away from the conversation?
On the other hand, men seem to be unattached to the dollar conversation, they dive into it and they also seem to value themselves a little more in this area. Am I right or am I going a little bit nutty? Love to hear your thoughts
