The right business community for women can change the way you price, sell and lead. I watched that play out in real time this October.
At Day with the Queen, I stood in a room full of women in business. There was a choreographed dance (yes, really!). A mentalist who had the whole room gasping. Women who’d never met walking straight up to each other, introducing themselves and swapping numbers like they’d known each other for years.
And right in the middle of all that energy, I announced Thriving Women for 2027.
The people around you shape your business
I’ve always believed the people around you shape the decisions you make, the action you take and how quickly you bounce back when business gets hard.
Running a business can be lonely. You make the big calls on your own. You talk yourself out of putting your prices up. You put off the follow-up call for another week… and then another.
But put women who back themselves in a room together and things happen.
What Thriving Women members achieved this year
Our latest Thriving Women survey proved it. This year, members told us they:
- Raised their prices (without the panic)
- Created stronger offers
- Got braver with sales and picked up the phone more
- Built better systems and business habits
- Won new clients, referrals and collaborations
Those referrals and collaborations alone added up to more than $229,000 across the group. Women sending business to women. I LOVE that.
And when we asked members to describe their year, the words that came up again and again were community, generosity, confidence and connection.

What makes a business community for women actually work
A great community isn’t just a group chat and a few networking drinks. In my experience, the ones that make a real difference have a few things in common:
- Honesty. People who’ll tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.
- Accountability. Someone who notices when you said you’d do something… and checks in.
- Generosity. Women who share referrals, ideas and contacts freely.
- Celebration. A place where your wins get the cheer they deserve, even the ones that feel “too big” to share anywhere else.
That’s what we’ve built in Thriving Women. And the women who get the most out of it are the ones who show up, do the work and back each other all the way.
Four questions to ask yourself before 2027
So as you start thinking about next year, ask yourself…
- Who’s going to challenge you?
- Who’s going to make sure you actually follow through?
- Who’s going to celebrate your wins (loudly)?
- And who’s on the end of the phone when you need a sounding board?
